The great thing about staying home...

So this thursday, we headed up to the cabin for a couple days with some friends and our moms. Karri and her kiddies and me and my kiddies, met our moms and the cabin. We had great food, went on scavenger hunts, played lots of games, and watched movies... That is one of the reasons I love staying home, we can do what ever we want when ever we want!

Duck, Duck, GOOSE

This is Bode's favorite game! I play it probably 10 times a day. He gets everyone to play it, Grandmas and Grandpas, friends, and even stuffed animals. The best is when we play with Grandma and Grandpa Pedersen and it always results with Clint and his Dad tackling each other. Once a kids always a kid.

Fun Fridays

So, I have just realized that we dont' have much more time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors! So I called my friend Karri and she planned some fun activities for us to do. Two weeks ago we went to Pineview to swim. We tried to go to a lake a little further up, however, it was way low I think they are draining it for the winter or something, so we ended up at Pineview. Which was beautiful, relaxing and as Karri would say, theraputic! No one was on the entire beach! It was a blast.
Raini likes the sand more than the water

Riding horses

Making sand holes

Our next activity was last Friday we went on a hike and gathered all different color leaves, flowers and sticks for some fall home decor (I will post some pictures later). We had fun even though it's a little hard to hike with kids. We ended at the Dinosaur Park for lunch. It was great! Pictures are to come!

Fat Cats

Deoderant

So I found the kids with Clint's deoderant, they I think they were using it as an all over body lotion. They didn't think much of it they just said they needed some! They are funny!

Happy FIVE Years!!!

No way that it has been five years!!! I feel like yesterday we were walking through fireworks at our wedding...What in the world happens to time...Two kids, 4 house moves, and a minivan later here we are...So for our anniversary it was my year to plan so this is what we did. We first went to the Bountiful Temple, were we got married, then off to lunch and shopping for the day. I saved some money so we could for once just buy something for ourselves. So we went to the Gateway and after walking around for a couple of hours, if you know me I was too cheap to buy anything. So we went back to Bountiful so I could go to ROSS. I know I'm pretty pathetic but hey it works. Then up to the diner in Oakely and to stay at the cabin. Since it was my year to plan we played games, which I don't think Clint would of normally liked, but he was up for anything. Thanks for having a good attitude honey. They we woke up bright and early to hike Mt. Timpanogas. However, when we got to the canyon there was a three hour wait. So we went to a movie instead. We hung out all day, it was so nice to just talk to my hubby. I feel like there are always so many interuptions that I never really have a good conversation with him, but it was great. I love our anniversary getaways... Love you honey!
Feels like yesterday!

Butterfly What?

So Clint was playing pretend football practice and he asked the kids to do a butterfly stretch and Bode got in the right postition and started stretching and Raini came over and gave him a butterfly kiss...Kids are cute

Preschool

Bode and I have both been looking forward for the day that he was going to preschool. I thought that he needed some other interaction and he just wanted to go to school like all of the rest of the kids in the neighborhood. So the day before he went we needed to pack his backpack with a couple of things the teacher told us to bring, however, he wanted to pack his own backpack, so he went in his room and filled it with books and clothes and all sorts of stuff. Then he wore his backpack all day. That night while he was sleeping I took out his stuff and put in a pencil box and some tissues as the teacher had instructed. He woke up got dressed and was ready to go an hour before it started. He was so excited! Finally the time came. We walked in and Mrs. Leesa, who is darling, told him where to put his stuff and he turned to me and this is how the conversation went,

"see ya mom"

"wait let me take a picture of you"

"Okay, (smile) see ya"

"are you sure you will be okay"

"yep, see ya"

"Bye I will pick you up"

So I never thought I would be the one to be sad when he went to preschool, but I will admit it was pretty hard. I mean I have been with him pretty much everyday for the past three years and too think just like that they want you to leave so they can independent. It was crazy, but he loved every second of it. Life is so fun, every stage has it's challenges and also so many joys...

Jr. Mighty Mites...

Clint and Cody, Clint's Brother, have been coaching Dax's (my nephew) little league football team for the past four weeks and he loves it. He loves to teach the kids and get them excited about the game. He loves to watch the kids succeed and progress. Pretty much I just think he likes being a kid with them. They are doing really well so far they have won all of their games. Bode, Raini and I go to some practices and games. It's fun to watch Bode get so exctied about football. He has pads and a Jet uniform from Halloween last year and he has to wear it to every football event. Lately we go out in the back yard and we put pads on and we take turns being the coach and we have practice. Raini is getting really good at back pedaling. Bode can't get enough of the coach wistle. When the sun goes down we go in side and they get in the ready postion and run all around...They are so funny
